Men, huh? Can't live with 'em. Can't strip 'em and spank 'em. Well actually, you CAN, in this little corner of cyberspace. Around here, fully grown males are at constant risk of humiliating bare bottomed correction - hence the 'humblings' of the title.

Are We Done?

Those of you who look in here from time to time and find yet another filler post (of which this is one, of course) could be forgiven for thinking that Underling's Humblings is not long for this world - that the well of stories and pictures is about to cease its trickle and finally run dry.

Not so!

I actually have all manner of little projects on the go.

For example, there's this:

and this:

and this:

and what's this all about?

and of course, not forgetting this:
"...Richard leaned forward and draped himself awkwardly across his wife's lap, the bedsprings creaking softly as he added his weight to hers and placed his hands upon the carpet..."

You see, starting stuff is easy. Finishing is my problem - always has been.

There will be more finishing, I promise. No, really!

  1. Hi Underling:

Finishing is great as long as it has a happy ending. Not the blog though. Definitely not the blog...

    1. I'm sure you spotted the OSIRIS picture among the above, joeygirl - and it's within a whisker of completion. Let's gloss over the fact that it's been in that state for months! I think it'll be the next-but-one thing that I post.

  3. It is difficult to be creative, so do NOT push yourself. I truly appreciate all the fine works you have given us, and over time, the many future drawings and story lines. Heck, you can have drawings without stories, and have the readers make up stories to suit the drawing.

    1. Hi there, Red. Don't tell me not to push myself, or we'll end up with annual rather than monthly updates. ;)

      Thanks for your kind words.

    1. Hello Q. Yes, I'm very excited about the tennis picture. I think it's going to work out fine. It's very early days for that one, though...

  5. A good spanking and you should be able to finish one project...
    Then another...
    Then another...
    In French it's called "joindre l'utile à l'agréable"...

Is it not a good idea ?

    1. Bonjour, Mlkklm. Spankings are always a good idea in my book. Just because they might not have the desired effect is no reason not to try, right? ;)

  6. Tennis! I love tennis. Or at least watching other people play tennis - preferably beautiful ones in pretty outfits. I can't wait to see how you put a spin on it all (excuse the pun!)

    1. I love tennis too, OFG, in spite of not being terribly good at it myself. It's one of the sexiest of sports - all those toned limbs and short dresses and knicker-revealing lunges...

  7. *taps paddle in hand* You really should finish something.... =)

    1. Oh my, Mistress L. You're supposed to be providing encouragement to work harder, and yet I have a strange compulsion now to become even tardier...

  8. Underling-
As one who also does some blogging, I totally understand the ebbs and flows of the creative mind. And indeed, yours is one of the more creative.

Glad to see the 'sneak previews'. Looks like your art just gets better and better.

    1. Hello Ken (and Cora)! In your case, 'some' blogging amounts to rather more than mine - and my ebbs are more akin to full-blown droughts ;). Thank you for the nice words.

  9. Creativity begets creativity, Undy, as you well know! So stop the hedging. Get to the drawing board, pull down your pants and get in the mood. Then draw, draw, draw. It'll happen. Same drill in writing, too. Just let it happen. You're too methodical. You know your subject better than you think. So open the flood gate.

  10. These are wonderful! I don't suppose I could tempt you to let me use something of yours as an Amazon cover/product image for one of my erotic novels?
