Men, huh? Can't live with 'em. Can't strip 'em and spank 'em. Well actually, you CAN, in this little corner of cyberspace. Around here, fully grown males are at constant risk of humiliating bare bottomed correction - hence the 'humblings' of the title.

More Than Words

Ever noticed how much we spanking enthusiasts seem to have in common? Sure, we each have our own predilections for certain gender pairings, relationship dynamics, positions, implements... but for me these are just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. I still think it surprising that, spread across generations and cultures and continents as we are, we nevertheless seem to share so many touchstones. It's almost as though the spanking gene - if such a thing exists - carries with it a kind of species memory. I have like-minded friends in their early twenties who have grown up with barely any reference points for real-world corporal punishment, and yet whose fantasies are the same as mine. We share the same 'triggers' too - images, and especially words, that bypass the 'vanilla' brain entirely but set our spanko senses tingling.

Mention to another spanking-lover that your early interest had you poring over punishment-themed words in the dictionary, and you'll almost certainly get a flash of (possibly guilty) recognition - perhaps even an 'I thought I was the only one who did that!' - in response.

Words are powerful things, aren't they?

Which brings me on to the topic of today's post, in which once again I try to inject a little kinky goodness where by rights it shouldn't belong. Today we turn our attention to the Word Search, a staple feature of wholesome magazines everywhere. My version, at the top of this post (you'll need to be running Flash to see it) works pretty much as they all do - words are hidden, going across or down, in a grid of otherwise random letters. The only difference is the words themselves, which are all related to the Underling universe and hopefully have a special place in your hearts. To make things a little more challenging I won't tell you what they are, but I will tell you:
1) There are nine words altogether, six of them the names of implements.
2) All the words are labels used for posts on this blog. You can see the complete set of labels listed under 'LOOKING FOR SOMETHING?' at the top-right of the page.
3) Some words may intersect with other words.

It's easy to play (I hope!)

When you think you've spotted a word, click on each of its letters to light them up in a nice, healthy, just-spanked pink. If you click on a letter by mistake, just click on it again to deselect it. If you want to deselect everything and start again, hit the 'RESET SELECTIONS' button.

When you think you have all nine words highlighted, click on 'SUBMIT SELECTIONS'. Be warned that you're in for a stern look if you've made any mistakes or if you haven't highlighted all the words - the adjudicator doesn't like having her time wasted!

Now here's the fun part - there's a prize. As soon as you've correctly identified all the words, the adjudicator will give you a password as a reward. The first person to include that password in a comment on this post wins the prize. What's the prize? Well, I'm not sure yet - but 'custom drawing' comes to mind, and it's pretty much all I have to give. :)

  1. Rawhide was a fine Western starring Clint Eastwood

    1. Hi there, Elbo. You were quick off the mark!

The word was indeed 'Rawhide'. In addition to describing what you'd be suffering if all six implements were used on you in succession, you're right that it was a Western - although I think as doutdes says, there's both a movie and a TV series and Clint Eastwood starred in the latter.

Whatever the case, you are our winner by a nose (just six minutes ahead of Michael_Michael) so I'd be more than happy to produce the promised prize for you. Just let me know, in here or by email, what you'd like to see in your picture - so long as it's within the usual boundaries of what I do, of course! Hopefully it will also become a post on the blog.

  2. Hi,

This was fun. The adjudicator indicated to me that the password is "rawhide."

The words were great. You're right; they're triggers, most of them deeply embedded in my naughty-word mind.

    1. Hello everyone!
Yes, I also got rawhide. Sadly a little late as it seems! But is rawhide with Clint Estwood? I always thought it was a series and a 1950s western?

Btw. I also found BAD between STAP and the F of FEMINISATION and SWAT if you read diagonally from the last S of OSIRIS to the A in MEDICAL.

I enjoyed it a lot! Thanks,
      doutdes

    2. Well done, guys. Michael_Michael, you were just beaten to the punch by Elbo but I'm glad you enjoyed playing.

And doutdes, a special commendation for finding extra naughty words - especially SWAT, which is a fine one. I did look over the grid to try to spot any 'accidental' words, but I didn't pick up on those. Pleased you enjoyed this - it was a bit of work to put the basic framework in place, but now I have I may do more of these.

  4. Hello Underling, rawhide!!! Finally got it!!!!! Feminisation is feminization in american English so I kept on looking for something else instead. I've been scolded by your strict little cane wielding adjudicator about 50 times. By the way, that is a mighty thick cane. A very few cracks of that would be all she would need to adjust my attitude. This was great fun. Thanks for a great posting.

    1. Hi there, JayJay. Yes, I probably should have warned you about the English spelling - but then I don't feel too bad, because it's spelt the same way in the labels :p.

As for you being scolded by the adjudicator, 50 times is an awful lot. Anyone would think you enjoyed it! And you're right - that is indeed a thick cane, and yet surprisingly flexible given its girth. Ah, the power of cartoons... :)

  5. God this takes me back, I used to do that with the dictionary and I've always been terrible at wordsearches... best score 4 out of 9 so far!
Still I think you've found the perfect replacement for the Countdown show on British television. I'm sure that Rachel Riley would be perfect to play the adjudicator ;)

  6. Well, this was fun, even though I've been on vacation and offline, so too late to compete for the "RAWHIDE" prize.

"DD" was also in the puzzle (outside of "PADDLE"), it's a common spankophile abbreviation for "domestic discipline," which many adult spanking-oriented accounts, pictures and stories (including some on this blog) feature as a motive for corporal punishment, as well as a reason that one adult would accept such chastisement from another.

Rowdy Gates (Clint Eastwood), the protagonist of "Rawhide," that even sounds like the name of a guy who might've been 'taken to the woodshed' by his frontier mother--and/or switched in class by a schoolmarm--a lot during his boyhood... --C.K.

    1. Hello CK. I've been impressed that people have found so many other discipline references outside of the ones I intended. What feverish imaginations you all have!

Was Clint's character really called Rowdy Gates? Sounds like something you'd address by oiling the hinges!

  8. Definitely fun!

    I also found
ARM - as in 'Her strong right arm'
    and two reasons for discipline:
DUE (Twice) - as in 'You've got a spanking due.'
    and LIED.

So is there a special prize for being a smarty-pants?

    1. Lovely to hear from you, Penny.

Frankly I suspect that, intelligent as my visitors are, they've all been making deliberate mistakes so as to invoke the adjudicator's wrath. And who can blame them?

The adjudicator was the best part. One can only fantasize what she does to those who waste her time.

    1. I think there's a pretty good clue in the way she flexes that cane, Ray.

The only mystery is, how does she determine the number of strokes to be applied? Is it the number of missed or incorrect letters? Or a multiple of the number of times you've summoned her without completing the work? Or does she just continue until she's satisfied you've learned your lesson?

      Thanks for your comment!

    2. Good evening Underling

...until she is satisfied...is an incredibly scary thought. What if she was one of those women, slow to arousal but once there can go for a long long time?

      Thank you
      Ray

  11. Hello, Ray. You're right - that is a scary and yet somehow delicious thought. She doesn't look the type to achieve satisfaction very quickly, does she? I think punishment may be protracted.
